Key dates for the Leaving Cert. Class of 2021

The wait is nearly over for our class of 2021 with the Leaving Cert. results issued this day next week at 10am! Well done on the journey and what a journey it has been for you. You have proven your resilience, determination, and motivation in the face of a global pandemic. No matter the result, you are all winners. The important thing to remember is that there are many options available to you that will get you to where you want to be, Access Courses, PLC’s, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Higher Education, and the world of work. When you get your results, take time to process them, breathe and sleep on them.

Key dates in the weeks ahead:

·       3rd Sept: Leaving Cert results issued on the Candidate Self Service Portal at 10am

·       7th Sept: Round 1 CAO offers available from 2pm online

·       7th Sept: Students can access more detailed information about the results of written exams and Accredited Grades on the CSSP from 5pm

·       7th Sept: Students can apply to view scripts from 5pm

·       8th Sept: CAO Available Place facility opens

·       8th Sept: Application to view scripts closes at 8pm.

·       8th Sept:  Students who have applied to UCAS must inform their chosen college, of which they have offers, of their results.

·       11th Sept – Students can apply to appeal both exam results and Accredited grades from 9 am

·       13th Sept: Application to appeal results closes at 12pm

·       13th Sept: Round 1 CAO acceptances close at 3pm

·       20th Sept: Round 2 CAO offers will be available online at 10am

·       22nd September: Round 2 acceptances close at 3pm

·       CAO Offer rounds will continue until October 12th

I often think on and love Bill Gates famous quote at results time:

 “I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all, now he is an engineer in Microsoft, and I am the owner of Microsoft”.

Proof that hard work and determination really do pay off in the long run.
